Region IX is hosting a one-day

NSF Faculty Workshop

at

Mt. San Antonio College

Walnut, CA

April 9, 2010

8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Who is the workshop for? STEM faculty, resource developers, and administrators interested in submitting proposals to the National Science Foundation (NSF).

The workshop targets faculty from science, technology, engineering, mathematics who are considering the submission of a proposal to the NSF, but are not versed in the complexities of grant writing.

As an added incentive, faculty participants are encouraged to submit a concept paper to the workshop coordinators to be eligible for a $200 award.

Register early as we will cap registration at 50 people.

The workshop will take place at Founders Hall, located on the campus of

Mt. San Antonio College.

Transportation:

Mt. San Antonio College is served by the L.A./Ontario International Airport, which is 18 miles away. You can get a rental car at the terminal or take a Super Shuttle for $27 each way. Taxis are available for $60 round trip.

Note: The Shilo Inn Hotel and Shilo Inn Suites Hotel provide complementary round trip airport shuttle service and local travel.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:
CRD incurs expenses based on registration. Submission of registration constitutes a commitment to attend. You will be responsible for the registration fees whether you are able to attend the workshop or not. Only those cancellations and/or refund requests submitted in writing on or before April 1, 2010 will be considered. Refunds will be processed, less an administrative fee of $20, after the workshop has been concluded.
