Regions: CRD Regional Re-Organization

Regional Reorganization

In its 2007 Strategic Plan, CRD’s Board of Directors included regional strengthening as one of its goals for the coming three years. To carry out this goal, the Board spent the past year examining the effectiveness of the Council’s current regional structure. CRD’s current regional configuration was implemented more than 40 years ago. The networking and professional development opportunities offered by the regions are an extremely important and valued part of this organization. However, since the regional structure was not based on current or future needs, CRD has seen uneven growth in regional participation. Currently, membership in the regions ranges from 350 people in the largest to 49 people in the smallest.

The following documents deal with the CRD regional reorganization. We welcome your questions, comments, and any feedback you may have regarding the reorganization. Please forward all comments to Shelly Conner at strongfuture@crdnet.org.
