When Plans Change, Amendments Offer Solutions

Presenter: Karen Norris, Grants Manager, Montgomery College, Rockville, MD

Every funding award is based upon the details described in the proposal and confirmed in the award agreement. Once an award is made, what happens if plans change? These unexpected circumstances, and others, create needs that are outside the original terms of the award agreement. Fortunately, it is possible to amend the terms to better reflect current requirements when plans change.

Participants will be able to:

• Execute an amendment request to a funding agency

• List different types of amendments

• Modify the terms of the award agreement to better reflect current needs

Grant Writing 101

If you’re new to Grants, then this is for you. Learn the basics, how to research, learn about the different types of grants, how to put the pieces of the proposal together, the how-tos of writing a grant proposal  Don’t be frustrated or try to figure it out for yourself, help is here to get you started.
