**Travel Tips**
Planning for a Comfortable Stay
Most conference participants wear business clothes for day and evening events. Dress for the gala Benefactor Awards Banquet is evening business or cocktail attire. At the time of the conference, Washington, DC can be warm, cool, or cold and may include rain and/or snow. Travelers will want to check the extended forecast for the area before packing. If you have any special dietary needs please consult the staff people in the conference registration room, and they will do their best to accommodate you.

CRD offers in-depth 3 hour seminars in selected topics of current interest to both the beginner and advanced resource development professional.
Masters Cohort Session

This day-long series focuses on resource development at the senior level. Professionals with five years or more of professional resource development experience, and who are currently serving as a director or in a more senior position are encouraged to participate. Limited to 25 participants!

The 2008 Campus Impact Awards recognizes the efforts of individuals or teams that have made a significant positive impact on a CRD member community college and/or the students it serves in one of four categories: grants professional, private fundraising professional, non-development professional, and volunteer.
Lifetime Service, Congressional, & Special Recognition Awards
CRD annually awards individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the organization, have assisted significantly in the passage of legislation that benefits higher education, or have assisted CRD in its efforts in some other way.

Executive Institute for Fundraising Leadership
November 3 - 5, 2008
CRD's Executive Institute for Fundraising Leadership is a unique training and networking experience for your fundraising team. This one-and-a-half-day program is designed to build a cohesive, focused approach to fundraising in collaboration with the institution's executive managers and volunteers.
Registration is separate from Annual Conference registration.
CFRE Content Review Course

The Council for Resource Development (CRD) is currently partnering with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) in the development of a new and comprehensive CFRE Review Course.

Federal Funding Task Force
November 3 - 5, 2008
Each year CRD invites volunteers to visit Washington, DC, to collect information on federal funding to two-year colleges. Task force participants learn interviewing and networking skills, build partnerships with colleagues, and strengthen relationships with agency program officers that benefit community colleges in general and their institutions in particular. The task force then produces CRD's Federal Funding to Two-Year Colleges Report.

The CRD Annual Conference is the highest profile event in the realm of community college fundraising. CRD’s 42nd Annual Conference will be held November 5 - 8, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. More than 600 dedicated professionals will be in DC in search of the latest information, products and services available to fundraisers for community, junior and technical colleges in the U.S. and throughout North America.
If you must cancel:
REFUND POLICY: CRD makes financial commitments to our vendors based on registrations. Submission of your registration constitutes a commitment to attend and your college will be responsible for the registration fees whether you are able to attend the event or not. You may cancel or request a refund, less a processing fee of $75, in writing on or before Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Only those cancellations and/or refund requests submitted in writing on or before October 8, 2008 will be considered. No refunds will be given after October 8, 20087 for any reason. All refunds will be processed AFTER the Annual Conference.
